I have dealt with this matter with an expedition
that may have entailed a few inaccuracies or anomalies, but I
should be grateful if I might be informed at your earliest possible convenience whether the general method (explained in the preceding paragraphs and exemplified in the enclosures) of adapting our salary rates to the African model meets with
your approval and acceptance. If so, the Tables will be subjected to further final scrutiny and condensed into a
Single Schedule, similar to the African ones; and then
(what will be a task of some magnitude) the remaining
Hong Kong salaries must be reviewed in the light of this
